Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Day, Tashkent

Arrival, the passage of passport and customs control, meeting with a local guide. Transfer to the hotel, breakfast. After breakfast, you start sightseeing in Tashkent. You will visit: Khast Imam ensemble (2007) including the Oriental Manuscripts Library and the Koran of Caliph Usman, central Amir Temur Square, Independence Square, Chorsu Bazaar, Tashkent underground. Lunch and dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2Tashkent – Samarkand

After breakfast transfer to the railway station and departure for Samarkand via “Afrosiab” (07:30 – 09:38). Upon arrival, you will start the tour around Samarkand (UNESCO World Heritage). You will visit: the tomb of Timurids – Guri Amir (1404), Registan Square (1415-1660), included Ulugbek madrasah (1417), Tilla-Kori madrasah (1660), Sherdor madrasah (1636); mosque Bibi Khanum (1404), Siab bazaar, an ensemble of Shakhi-Zinda (XIV-XV cc.). Lunch and dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 3Samarkand – Shakhrisabz – Bukhara

After breakfast, you will drive to Bukhara via Shakhrisabz – the city of Tamerlane. Upon arrival, you will start a tour around Shakhrisabz. You will visit: ruins of Amir Temur – Aksaray (1380-1404), memorial complex Dorut Tilovat, includes the mausoleum of Sheikh Shamsuddin Kulyal al-Keshi, mausoleum Gumbazi-Seyidan, Kuk-Gumbaz mosque. Lunch at the restaurant. Continuation of the path to Bukhara. Arrival, hotel check-in. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4Bukhara

After breakfast, you will start sightseeing in Bukhara (UNESCO World Heritage). You will visit citadel of Ark (XVIII – beg. of XX cc.), architectural complex of Lyabi Hauz (includes madrasah Kukeldash, khanaka Devon-Begi, and madrasah Devon-Begi) (XVI-XVII cc.), architectural complex Poi-Kalyan (Kalyan mosque, Miri-Arab madrasah, minaret Kalyan) (XII-XVI cc.), Samanid Mausoleum (IX cc), Trading domes of Bukhara: Toki-Sarrofon, Telpak Furushon, Toki-Zargaron Tim Abdullakhan. Lunch at the local restaurant. Dinner at the guest house. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5Bukhara – Farap – Turkmenabat – Mary

In the morning you will drive to Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan border point “Farab”. You will meet the loсal guide at 10:00 in the border Alat/Farah. After driving to Turkmenabat City. Lunch at the local restaurant. Then after the lunch fly to Mary City. Accommodation at the hotel. Rest time. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6Mary – Bajgyran – Mashhad

After breakfast at 09:00 drive to Turkmenistan-Iran border at Bajgyran (370km).Lunch at the local restaurant. Complete border formalities and continue your travel in Iran. You will meet your guide at the Turkmenistan-Iran border. Drive to Mashhad (3-4 hours). After arrival at the hotel in Mashhad, you will visit Imam Reza Shrine at night. Overnight in Mashhad.

Day 7Mashhad – Shiraz

You will visit the Astan Quds Razavi Central Museum after breakfast and buy souvenirs in the bazaar. Flight from Mashhad to Shiraz will be in the afternoon. Overnight in Shiraz.

Day 8Shiraz

You head to Persepolis (60 km from Shiraz, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire and the earliest remains date back to 515 BCE with a total area of 125000 square meters) to discover an ancient civilization of Persia, as well as Naqsh-e Rustam relief, and Quran Gate, where is a well-known place among locals. In the evenings, the locals come there for a picnic, smoke hookah, and enjoy the view of the hills and the waterfall. Overnight in Shiraz.

Day 9Shiraz

Nasir Al-Molk mosque, Karimkhan citadel, and Vakil historical complex with its bath, bazaar, and mosque are on the list today. You will go to Naren- jestan-e Qavam garden afterward. At night, you feel the mystic atmosphere of the surrounding area of the tomb of Hafez. Overnight in Shiraz.

Day 10Shiraz – Isfahan

After arrival in Isfahan, you will check-in at the hotel and then visit two of the city’s historical bridges: Siose Pol and Khaju and go for shopping souvenirs. Overnight in Isfahan.

Day 11Isfahan

You will go on a city excursion after breakfast. You will go to Naqsh-e Jahan square (The Image of the World it means) with four highlighted sites located around it: Imam Mosque, Sheikh Lotfollah mosque, Ali Qapu, and Traditional Bazaar. After enjoying your lunch close to one of the world’s largest squares, you head to Hasht Behesht and Chehel Sotoun Palace. Overnight in Isfahan.

Day 12Isfahan – Tehran

In the morning you will head to Tehran and after arrival and check-in process, Tabiat bridge is on your list and you will have the dinner in Darband. Overnight in Tehran.

Day 13Tehran

On this day you will visit Golestan palace and Iran national museum. If the jeweler museum is open (only open from Saturday to Tuesday) you can visit the most precious jewelry in presenting the culture of Iran in the past eras. You can enjoy Tehran’s atmosphere and shop in the evening. Overnight in Tehran.

Day 14Departure Day, Tehran

Transfer to the Airport and departure.

Option 2: If departure flight is in the afternoon we will have a short visit of Saadabad palace and then bid a farewell to Iran.
